We are a hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate group of professionals who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

About the role

CMW has maintained year-on-year growth since its establishment in 2012, and newest CMW office, Christchurch, is seeking a part-time Accounts Officer. The role is varied and would suit someone with a strong background in accounts/bookkeeping who is happy to get stuck in and help out wherever required to keep the office running smoothly. Outside of accounts, you'll also be involved with general, project-related and administrative tasks for the Christchurch Office.

Responsibilities

  • Timely processing of monthly accounts, reporting & reconciliation.
  • Effective maintenance and administration of a range of office systems such as the Health & Safety System and Quality System in conjunction with the Office Manager
  • Efficient running of the office including supplies, mail, calls and messages, couriers, photocopying, binding and general office maintenance.
  • Accurate documentation of key meetings such as audits, health and safety meetings and team meetings
  • Organisation of key communications and events for staff
  • Develop positive & productive relationships with clients and our internal team
  • Contribute positively to company culture through strong and effective communication, collaborative teamwork, practical solutions and having each other's backs
  • Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Office Manager and team leaders

Qualification/Experience

  • 5-7 years previous experience working within a professional services office environment and on quality systems
  • Experience with accounts and invoicing
  • Relevant certificate or book-keeping qualification
  • MYOB experience
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and accurate
  • Clear, confident, and articulate communicator
  • Hard working, energetic and well presented
  • NZ Citizen or hold Permanent working rights in NZ without restrictions
