Job Description:

CMW is a trans-Tasman Geotechnical Consultancy with 22 offices and over 300 employees throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our projects cover construction and civil engineering from larger long-term national roading projects to smaller residential developments.

CMW has maintained year-on-year growth since its establishment in 2012, and the Tauranga office is looking to bring in an Administration / Project Management Assistant (PMA) to assist the busy project managers and field staff.

You'll belong to our Tauranga / Rotorua / Napier team of 30+. You would be based full-time in our Tauranga office. However, you would be required to travel across to our Rotorua office for one day per fortnight. Therefore, you must have a full drivers license and access to a vehicle.

This role would be suitable for someone looking for an entry-level administration position. No prior experience is required; however, we are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and personable. All further training will be provided. Please note, this is not a Project Management role, and it does not lead to a project management role with CMW. It is an administrative support role. We unfortunately won't be progressing applications from project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Primary role is to support and undertake activities related to the delivery of projects including.
  • Laboratory administration, data entry, management and document control on behalf of engineers.
  • Format documents, including Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF.
  • Photocopying, scanning and binding on behalf of engineers.
  • Assist the Geotechnical Team with sub-contractor coordination, management including tracking POs on behalf of the PMs;
  • Tracking of project deliverables against schedules.
  • Assist with the completion of project related quality documentation.
  • Assist and support the Office Manager & team leaders in relation to quality and health and safety documentation.
  • Assist the Office Manager & HSE Rep with HSE auditing; and
  • Co-ordination of office events and meetings
  • Minute taking for the Office Manager and Project Managers
  • Any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Office Manager

Must Have

No formal qualifications are needed for this role; however, a strong knowledge of MS Office is required.

Full NZ drivers license and access to a vehicle.
